Maax · Live answers for your calls

Hear the question. See the answer.

Maax is a small window that stays on top of your call. It listens on your side, catches every question and objection the moment it's said, and shows the answer from your own website, documents and Q&A — to you, and only you. No bot joins. Nothing is recorded.

How it works

From your website to answers on your next call, in three steps.

01

Build.

Paste your website. Get an agent.

Maax crawls your site and writes the questions people ask, the answers your pages give, the lines for objections and complaints, and a paragraph of context. Or start from a description, upload files, and add Q&A by hand. Ten minutes, editable forever.

02

Listen.

Open the window. Press Start.

The window sits on top of Zoom, Meet, Teams or your dialer and hears both sides through your own computer. Nothing joins the call. Nothing is recorded. The other person sees exactly what they saw before.

03

Answer.

The answer, while the question is still in the air.

Every question and every hard moment is caught from the live transcript and answered from your agent — Q&A first, then your documents, never a guess. What it can't answer becomes a gap you close once.

Live answers.

Maax listens to the call, catches every question the other person asks, and puts the answer on your screen — from your own knowledge, a moment later, to you alone.

Sourced, never guessed.

A prospect asks about pricing, a customer asks why a charge shows as pending — Maax detects the question and answers it from your agent: the curated Q&A first, then a search across the pages and files you added. Every answer names the entry it came from.

If nothing in your knowledge covers it, Maax stays quiet and saves the gap, instead of making something up. New hires answer like veterans; veterans never have to say “let me get back to you.”

Quote-grounded.

Every detected question must quote the speaker's exact words from the transcript. If it can't, it isn't a question — so a topic merely mentioned in passing never triggers an answer, and the same question asked twice isn't answered twice.

Gaps become answers.

Every question your agent couldn't answer is saved with a count of how often it came up. Answer it once and every future call has it. Your knowledge is built from the questions real people actually ask.

60+ languages.

Transcription and answers follow the language of the call, detected automatically. A Spanish question gets a Spanish answer, and proper nouns from your agent are recognised even when the recogniser has never heard them.

Hard moments.

Objections, stalls, complaints and escalations are caught the same way questions are — and met with a calm line and one concrete next step.

What to say when they push back.

“We already have a supplier.” “Just send me an email.” “I want to speak to a manager.” Maax recognises the moment and shows the handling line for it: acknowledge the point, never argue, pivot to one small, specific step.

The lines are written from your own material when you build the agent — the refund window, the guarantee, the migration path are yours — and every one of them is editable.

Sales-side.

Bad timing, brush-offs, the status quo, price and budget, “I need to think about it”, “I have to check with my boss”, “we tried this before and it didn't work”.

Support-side.

Frustration, escalation demands, “I've already called three times”, refund and cancellation demands, delays, “I was told something different”, threats to leave a review or switch.

Your lines, your facts.

A handling line is conversational technique — but any fact inside it, a refund window, a guarantee, an SLA, comes from your material. When there is no relevant fact, the line stays purely conversational.

Agents.

An agent is everything Maax may answer from: your Q&A, your website, your files, and a paragraph of context. Build one in minutes; keep it for years.

Paste your website. Get an agent.

Give Maax your URL and it crawls the site — sitemap first, then link by link — and writes around a hundred question-and-answer pairs, the hard-moment lines and a context paragraph, all grounded in what the pages actually say. Nothing unverifiable makes it in.

Or start from a description. Upload PDFs. Add pages by hand or paste a sitemap. Refresh a page when it changes; delete what you don't want answered.

Q&A first.

Curated pairs are the fastest and most precise answers. Add your own, edit the generated ones, switch any pair off — the live matcher reads what you approved.

Files and pages.

Everything else is searched: product sheets, pricing PDFs, security documents, help-centre pages — each indexed as its own document, each refreshable or removable on its own.

Several agents.

One per product, per client, per language. Switch between them from the window's controls before a call, and the window remembers your choice.

Ask.

Need something nobody asked out loud? Ask your agent directly, mid-call, from the same window.

Same sources, your question.

Press Ask and the console becomes a chat with your agent — grounded in the same Q&A and documents, invisible to the other side. A competitor comparison, the one case study for this industry, the exact SLA wording.

A gap's “Ask the agent” button opens the chat with that question already sent. One tap brings the live feed back; the transcript never stops.

Grounded, cited.

Chat answers come through the same pipeline as live answers: the Q&A first, then your documents, with the source named. No general-knowledge improvisation.

About ten credits a question.

A chat question costs around 10 credits; a live hour around 1,600. Ask as much as the call needs.

The window.

A small window that stays on top of whatever you use for the call. Nothing joins the call, and nothing is installed on the other side.

Works over any call app.

Maax captures the computer's audio and your microphone on your own machine, so it hears both sides of the call whatever it runs in — Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, a browser dialer, a softphone. No calendar access, no bot in the waiting room, no “recording has started” banner.

The window opens 360 pixels wide, resizes from its corner, pins on top, hides to the tray, and is one shortcut away: Ctrl+Shift+M. A gradient frame shows while it listens.

Invisible to everyone else.

No extra participant tile, no consent prompt from a bot, nothing that announces itself. The conversation stays a conversation.

System audio, no picker.

On Windows the app captures the system audio directly — press Start and it listens to both sides. Pick a microphone, toggle echo cancellation, or go mic-only for a headset call.

In the browser too.

The same app runs at app.maax.app with the same view — share the call tab's audio and go. Use it on a Mac today; the native macOS window is next.

Security & privacy

Nothing recorded. Nothing joins. Nothing kept that you didn't ask for.

No audio, ever

Audio is transcribed on the fly and discarded. There is no recording to leak, replay or subpoena — not on your machine, not on ours.

Sessions are ephemeral

Nothing about a live session is stored — no transcript, no answers. The only things that outlive a call are the gaps you keep and the credits it used.

Your knowledge stays yours

Your Q&A, pages and files are never used to train AI models. Delete an agent and its index goes with it. Delete your account and everything is purged.

Locked down

Encrypted in transit and at rest on SOC 2 Type II certified infrastructure. Sign-in through Clerk. Payments through Polar — we never see your card.

Capture on your own machine · No calendar access · No recording banner · GDPR-ready with a Data Processing Agreement

Pricing

Pay for the hours you use. Nothing when you don't.

Maax runs on AI credits. Every account starts with 3,500 free — about two live hours plus a full website scan, no card needed. A plan tops you up every month, a one-time pack never expires, and nothing is ever charged as overage.

What things cost

A live hour ≈ 1,600 credits. A 50-page website scan ≈ 300. A chat question ≈ 10.

At zero

Live answers pause until the next cycle or a top-up. No overage, ever. Your agents stay exactly as they are.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Can't find yours? Ask us directly.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Maax runs in the browser at app.maax.app with the same view as the desktop window. The Windows app is the better experience on a call — it captures the computer's audio directly and stays on top of your call window — so we recommend it once you've had a first look.

Does a bot join my call?

Never. Maax captures audio on your own computer: the system audio for the other side, your microphone for you. There is no extra participant, no calendar access, and nothing for the other person to see or approve.

Which call apps does it work with?

All of them. If your computer plays it, Maax hears it: Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, Slack huddles, browser dialers, softphones. Phone calls work too, as long as the audio runs through the computer.

Where do the answers come from?

Only from your agent. The curated Q&A first — every answer names the pair it came from — then a search across the pages and files you added. Nothing from the open internet, nothing from the model's general knowledge.

What happens when it doesn't know?

It says so. The turn shows as “No answer”, the question is saved as a gap on your agent, and you answer it after the call — or press “Ask the agent” to try the chat. Maax never invents an answer to fill the silence.

What is a hard moment?

An objection, stall, complaint or escalation: “we already have a supplier”, “just send me an email”, “I want to speak to a manager”. Maax recognises them the way it recognises questions and shows a calm handling line — acknowledge, don't argue, offer one concrete next step.

How do credits work?

Everything Maax does with AI is metered in credits — transcription, detection, answers, chat, crawling and indexing — at the provider's true cost times four. A live hour is about 1,600 credits, a 50-page website scan about 300, a chat question about 10. Plan credits reset monthly; top-ups and the 3,500 sign-up credits roll over. At zero, live answers pause until you top up. There is never an overage charge.

Does it work in my language?

Yes. Transcription and answers work in 60+ languages, detected automatically. Answers follow the language of the question, and your knowledge can be in any language too.

Is my call recorded or stored?

No. Audio is transcribed on the fly and discarded, and a live session leaves nothing behind except the gaps and the credits it used. The privacy policy has the full picture.

Is there a Mac version?

The native macOS window is next. Today, Mac users run Maax in the browser at app.maax.app and share the call tab's audio — same view, same answers.

Can my team use it?

Each account is personal, with its own agents. Teams roll out today by giving every rep an account and the same website to build from — get in touch and we'll help you set it up.

How is Maax different from a meeting note-taker?

Note-takers join the call as a bot, record it, and hand you a summary afterwards. Maax is for the call itself: it answers while you're talking, from your own knowledge, and keeps nothing when you hang up.

Every call, with the answer ready.

Notes on selling and supporting with a live assistant.
