Every seller and every support rep knows the moment. The other person asks something specific — “Is there an on-premise option?”, “Why does the charge show as pending?” — and you don’t know. You stall, promise to “circle back”, and the momentum you spent twenty minutes building leaks out of the call.
Maax exists for that moment. It’s a small window that stays on top of your call, listens on your side, and when a question lands, puts the answer on your screen — sourced from your own material, phrased so you can say it out loud.
Where the answers come from
Maax doesn’t ask a general-purpose chatbot to improvise. Answers come from your agent — your knowledge, made conversational:
- Curated Q&A first. The pairs you wrote or approved take priority. Matching is on information, not wording: a prospect never phrases anything the way a stored pair does, so “do you do next-day delivery?” finds the entry about shipping times. Every answer names the pair it came from, and an answer without a source is thrown away.
- Your documents second. If no pair covers it, the agent searches the pages and files you added — product sheets, pricing PDFs, security documentation, help-centre pages — and answers from what it finds.
Either way, the answer is grounded in material you control. No public-internet trivia, no invented specs, no “as an AI model”.
The part that matters: it stays quiet when it doesn’t know
Most AI tools treat every question as answerable. That’s exactly wrong on a live call, where one confidently wrong number can cost the deal or the customer.
If your agent doesn’t know, Maax says so. The turn shows as No answer, and the question is saved on your agent as a gap, with a count of how often it comes up. After the call, you answer it once — and every future call has that answer ready. Your knowledge is built from the questions real people actually ask, not from what you guessed they would.
Only real questions
Detection is strict on purpose. Maax only returns a question when it’s a request for company-specific, look-up-able information — pricing, features, policies, availability, integrations. Small talk, “can you hear me?”, rhetorical questions and general knowledge are ignored. And every detected question must quote the speaker’s exact words from the transcript; if the model can’t point to where it was said, it wasn’t said. That’s what keeps a topic mentioned in passing from triggering an answer, and the same question from being answered twice.
Not just questions
The other thing that stalls a call isn’t a question at all. “We already have a supplier.” “Just send me an email.” “I want to speak to a manager.” Maax catches those too, as hard moments, and shows a calm handling line — acknowledge, don’t argue, one concrete next step.
Ask it things nobody said out loud
Live answers trigger on what the other person says, but you also get a chat with the same agent, one tap away. Need the competitor comparison, the one case study for this industry, the exact SLA wording? Ask. The reply is grounded in the same sources and invisible to the other side of the call. A gap card’s “Ask the agent” button opens the chat with the question already sent.
Set up in minutes, not weeks
Teaching your agent doesn’t require a data team. Paste your website and Maax writes around a hundred Q&A pairs, the hard-moment lines and a context paragraph from what the pages say. Upload files, add pairs by hand, edit anything.
And because Maax captures audio on your own computer — the system audio for the other side, your microphone for you — there’s no bot joining your calls. The other person sees nothing but you, sounding like the person who always knows.
Never say “let me get back to you” again. Start free — 3,500 credits, no card, your next call is the demo.
